I have all books from the Little house in the Prairie
and
I love all these books from Laura Ingalls Wilder
The long winter is my prefer story.
I have great respect how they had
outmoded these very strong winter.
Wish you all a nice week,

I love the Laura Ingals Wilder books very much, too. The Long Winter is my favorite as well!
AntwortenLöschenYou are wise to delve into homey things when it is too hot to do anything else. I like that idea!
It's hot here also. There's not a lot of activity going on outside. The heat just makes everyone grumpy. I'm ready for the cooler temps already. :)
AntwortenLöschenIt has been much too hot here for my liking, too.
AntwortenLöschenThe cookbook sounds very interesting. I think I would like to try those "Miracle Rolls."
I hope you have a cooling trend very soon!
Hello dear friend! The Long Hard Winter is a good thing to read when it is so hot. I read a biography of Laura Ingalls Wilder a few months ago and am always amazed that they could survive such a brutal place as the Dakotas. Pioneers are on my mind lately. How would they have managed with this drought? I am glad we live in the times we live in now. Thank you for the kind words!
AntwortenLöschenWith much affection,
Jane
I have not read these books but your editions are lovely. Hope it cools down a bit for you soon. I am not keen on hot weather and would rather cold and crispy days. Lily. xxx
AntwortenLöschenLOL - it's one of my favorite cookbooks too!! and I love the Little House series.
AntwortenLöschenHave a great week!
Blessings,
Anne♥
Hi Regina, I used to love the little house on the prairie tv programmes when I was younger but have never read any of the books.
AntwortenLöschenThank you for the lovely comment on my blog :) Miss Read books are so lovely, cosy reading. x
AntwortenLöschenMiss Read and the Little House books are also my faves :)
AntwortenLöschenIt has been very hot here too. We have had rain clouds teasing us...no rain yet. I have only cooked twice this whole month. Much to much eating out and leftovers, or simply ice creme. I made dinner tonight and my son was shocked. I think he thought I had forgotten how to cook..hehehe.
AntwortenLöschenIt will get cooler soon. We were up in the mountains today, and many of the trees leaves are changing color already. Here is to an early Fall!!!
I too love the Laura Ingalls Wilder books, with "On the Banks of Plum Creek" my favorite.
blessings, jill
Hi Regina! Yes, I have to get that Laura Ingals Wilder cookbook...maybe at christmas time I will treat myself to it! I've been wanting to for a long time, and enjoy seeing your copy of it.
AntwortenLöschenI read her "little house on the prairie" books to my daughter when she was young, and I loved the simple stories!
It is hot here too! I'm going to cut my grass this morning.
I will make soap in a couple of weeks...I'm still a bit scared! ha. love, andrea
Hi Regina, sorry to hear you are taking a break from blogging, but certainly understand just getting back from one myself. I haven't heard of the cookbook, I'll have to see if I can track that down. Best wishes for a peaceful break and will look forward to your posts upon your return. Heather
AntwortenLöschenHi Regina,
AntwortenLöschenIt is hot here in my part of Canada, too. Yes, you have some wonderful books there! Laura Ingalls Wilder is a favourite with my family. My daughter has read all of the books to her daughter who has claimed them as her family. My daughter's name is Carolyn and when my little grand daughter, Beth, was small she would call her mom and dad, ma and pa. It was so cute. She had a stuffed dog, she still has him, his name is Jack. She also saw all of the Little House on the Prairie dvd's of when Laura was little and so Beth had an imaginary friend named Carrie. So that family was a part of her family, she thought for a couple of years. She has outgrown it now, but we still talk about it and it still seems pretty real to her, I think.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your reads. I should find that recipe book, it sounds really good.
Hugs, Cindy
